The single most common problem of elderly men involves the enlargement of the prostate gland, which interferes with the functioning of both the urinary and reproduction systems. The men should not abuse this certain part of their reproductive organs. Failure to function this can no longer have fertilization.

what is the primary function of the prostate gland? I thought it helps produce some of the fluids that help carry sperm.

As what I've learned the prostate gland helps protect the sperm from the acidity of the urethra and of the vagina by secreting an alkaline fluid.

Its primary job is to store and produce seminal fluid. Infections or problems in the prostate can cause infertility issues in men.
