More sperm terms:

Necrozoospermia - sperm that does not move

asthenospermia - sperm with low motility or forward movement.

...they have weird names dont they... hahaha it was mentioned in a previous thread I read here. So i thought why not give you guys more.

In necrozoospermia, could it be that the sperm are dead? necro means dead doesn't it?

It said that Necrozoospermia - sperm that does not move so possibley the sperm are in fact dead.

Because if it were moving but moving slowly it would be the second one, asthenospermia.

LOL yeah, what's with the weird names, Jester!

The "zoo" makes it sound like there's really a lot of sperm (but sometimes its just too few) and the "necro" makes it sound like something from a zombie movie...

I read on another thread that globozoospermia is the disease name for sperm with rounded heads.
