what sort of high stress or heavy exercise can cause sperm damage?

lifting can cause hernia including your testicles.

Biking and other sport that requires you to sit in one position for very long periods of time can also cause sperm problems. This is because the heat can make the temperature in the testes rise and cause low sperm production.

Any exercise can damage the sperm. If it is done so extensively. But a human individualism can differ the effect of some exercises to each individuals. So to make it sure, before doing any exercise consult first to the doctor.

Please consider also the food tobe taken during exercise. It is not enough that in doing exercise, the food to be taken is just taken for granted.

All heavy exercise can damage the sperm. That's why you need to avoid all these exercises if you are planning to have a baby.

hmmm... perhaps light exercise like jogging or brisk walking is OK. you need to keep healthy right?

If you exercise strenuosly and experience rapid weight loss, this can alter your hormones and hamper sperm production. This is why it is better to exercise moderately and not push yourself too hard.
