Would you say that a guy was infertile if he had a hard time maintaining his erection?

Is this a sign of his infertility?

No, but it could be a sign of erectile dysfunction or ED. Men with ED can still get a woman pregnant, but it is more challenging since they can't stay hard for long.

Agree. ED can be a result of age, medication, trauma or other psychological disorder. This does not automatically mean that he is sterile or infertile. Its a problem with getting it up or getting it up long enough to finish the deed. ;P

one of the reproductive organ of the male is the penis. it is composed of spongy tissues, when this tissues are filled with blood, the penis becomes erect. Erection is important so that the transfer of sperm cells to the female reproductive tract is more efficient.

Erection is the most important to let the sperm of the male released during ejaculation. So it is needed that the male could experience an arousal during sexual intercourse.

I don't think so..some men can really has this control of erection and some women find it good since they will be greatly satisfied in doing the act also.

Not infertile, just challenged...:D

If you have ED it can be frustrating to start or to finish not only for the man but for the woman too! The guy can still ejaculate, its just that maintaining the erection is hard!

I agree. Its just ED and not sterelity.

Katty - September 17th, 2010 7:21 AM

Yes, i think so..because erection is really not controllable. If a guy was able to control his erection, it's surely a sign of infertility.

As long as you ejaculate in the right place, then you wont have any worries. But in terms of sexually satisfying your partner, this can become an issue.

I don't think it's a sign of infertility..it's just a matter of how he can control his erection or how he get over excited to things..that makes him had his erection at the wrong time.
