What is Cryptorchidism? How can it be cured?

jon - September 20th, 2010 3:59 AM

this is the absence of one or two testicles from the body. This is when the testicles failed to descend. this is usually found in newborn male babies.

If the testicles have not descended after 4-6 months then surgery is performed to correct the undescended testes.

Well, I have read that cryptorchidism is the undescended testicles occur when one or both testicles fail to move into the scrotum before birth.

It's a medical condition in which it is said that one or both testicles fail to descend to the srotum by the time the baby is born. But this condition can naturally corrects itself within the first year of life.

Well, this sounds....uncomfortable and painful!

This is only common in male babies. The pediatrician will check for this and then monitor baby until the testicles descend. In most cases, it does without any medical intervention.
