there's a normal age- related decrease in testosterone, which can affect both libido and erection. what's important to understand is that changes in sexual response due to aging are gradual and are usually variations in intensity rather than a complete absence of response.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons why men in their 50s have a hard time getting it up. But see how nature works out, women in their 50's are starting on menopause!

This is nature's way of making sure that we only reproduce during our prime so that the next generation is stronger, smarter and healthier than the previous one. Nature is smart, ne.

I can't imagine the Seniors getting "it" on at their advanced age. They might break their hips or worse have a heart attack at the physical exertion!

many infertile men have a low sperm count caused by low levels of testosterone, a hormone that signals the testes to manufacture sperm.

I agree. Nature will always ensure that only the best will survive. What with decline egg and sperm quality at this age, the body naturally takes care and stops the ability to get pregnant both in women and in men.

Natural selection and everything.

This is good since I cant imagine getting pregnant in my 50's. I promised i would stop at 42.
