Does a man sperm count decrease as age increases or getting older?

HandsomeGuy - April 19th, 2011 5:02 PM

During old age, there is a decrease in the quality of sperm that a man produces. Like example, genetic mutations such as dwarfism are much more common in old age than they are in younger men who conceive.

Also, sperm motility seems to decrease in old age .

But most men will not experience decrease in sperm count that much of a until they get over the age of 30 or so. But, other old age still has enough sperm count. It may also vary with your lifestyle.if you have healthy one then it's best for you.

I have researched quite a bit on this topic. I married late, you see. Most doctors/specialists will agree that a man's fertility does not decrease by as much with old age compared to women. A woman when she enters 45 to 55 will eventually experience menopause. We all know what that means. Men are different. While the sperm count does go down with age, it is a case to case basis for each man, not the same for all because men don't have anything similar to a menopause.
