we all know that douching is a no-no while tying to get pregnant. Here's another incentive to avoid douching. It has been linked to cervical cancer.

The vagina is self cleaning. So dont douche.

Is this already proven by the experts? How sure are you regarding this?

Yes. Douches take away mucus and some of the healthy bacteria that help with the vaginal flora. They ensure that the vagina is a healthy place for the sperm.

With douching, they are removed. I dont really see any good benefits of douching.

I've never douched in my whole life!

women douche because they want their vaginas to be clean. as stated above, there is no need to douche as vaginas are able to clean themselves.

soap and water plus practicing good hygiene is good enough for the vagina.

Yeah me too. I don't douche because I'm very much afraid of the effect of douching to my body and to my fertility.

I dont know why some women douche....

if it is linked to cancer, then another good reason not to douche. I dont douche btw!

I used to douche after my period when I was younger. But when my gynecologist told me to stop because it has no benefits, I stopped and I am glad that i did.
