Are you taking over-the-counter medication? If so and you want to get pregnant, check with your doctor if these medications are safe to take during pregnancy. It's always better to be safe than sorry!

OTC medication is now strictly prohibited. The medication which is taken by your friend which able to treat her illness may not do good to you. It may be there's a similarity of the sickness you have felt but we can not guess if it is the illness your friend had been felt, the pain may be similar but the diagnosed is in the other term.

there are some otc meds that can have bad effects on your baby. it can make them deformed or even have inborn diseases. it would be safer if you checked with your doctor first.

Yes, it's indeed better to be safe than sorry, because you cannot bargain your health and body by taking such wrong medication. That's why it's good to ask doctor's advice first.

I am always careful, even for just cough medicine. good thing my sister is a doctor because I am quite paranoid when it comes to medication since we are on fertility medication too.

Could not agree more. Medicines can counter each other so it would be better if you got a prescription and a check up before buying otc meds if you are TTC.
