is it possible for a woman to have a positive result in her ovulation kit but is not ovulating???

Mandy - June 6th, 2010 9:22 AM

yes it is. ovulation kits, preg test kits, thermometers and all these other gadgets are manmade and are not fool proof. One should always use them with caution and to make sure try to use two different brands if you've had one too many false positive results.

i agree with mandy. these can be expensive especially if you've bought them for some time so my suggestion is to do two tests. and ovulation kit and you can also use the BBT method. this way you get a more accurate reading.

two methods are certainly better than one!

well there you go. expect to have some deffective preg test kits or ovulation kits. the same can go wrong with BBT thermometers and other gadgets and aids for fertility. nothing in this world is foolproof!

All devices fail. My advice is to use two methods. Use an ovulation kit and at the same time, chart your partner's period and also observe her discharge. This should make it easier for both of you.

Yes, I also agree with you guys, it is good that the two persons agreed each other so that the success of conceiving can be realized.
