I'm a little concerned right now. I'm having bad period pain type cramps in my lower belly and the top bits of my legs are hurting. This has been going on continuously from 5am this morning. How do I know this is just normal stretching cramps and not the onset of early labour? I'm 21+2 days preggo today but I've never had pain like this before. It kept me up quite abit since 5am and I had to stay up for about an hour before getting back to sleep from the discomfort. I haven't had any bloody discharge or anything like that but if this is something that it shouldn't be I would rather get it sorted before it progresses too much. What do you girls think???

Just phone your MW and ask. It could be nothing but poor Jody went into labour and put off going to the hosp and unfortunately had to give birth to her baby at 21 weeks. You're better to be safe than sorry. If you are having contractions they can usually stop it if you go in early and keep your LO cooking for a few more weeks.

Ditto to what Blah said. If it is something concerning there are things that can be done and there's no harm in checking even if it's just stretching. I recall others further on that us saying they had quite a lot of stretching pains with a growth spurt around this time though so try not to worry.

I had period pains a few weeks ago but they were only mild, i would get it checked to be on the safe side hope everything is okay
