Hi there!

Are doctors allowed to recommend fertility supplements? Coz some of these are not FDA approved or have the disclaimer: no proved therapeutic effects on the labels.

I still have to ask my gynecologist, but most supplements are safe. But to make sure, mention the supplement to your doctor and it's contents to make sure that it's safe and that it won't cause any problems with whatever medications - fertility included - that you are on.

Im with Donna. Make sure you mention it. I am all for boosting fertility and researching fertility aids, but you need to be safe. Not just for your sake but for your future baby.

It is important that medicines should not mix. Consult your doctor. Medicine for high blood pressure for example can have dangerous effects when taken with medication for depression.

Even with fertility supplements, the same rule should be followed.

I think those fertility supplements being recommended by doctors are proven safe. So, there's nothing to worry.

There might be a few that are FDA approved. Maybe you can also try to ask for recommendation from doctor and friends.

I don't see anything wrong with fertility supplements. They are intend to help not to cause harm that's why if they are being recommended by Doctors, it's really good and proven safe.
