what are some of the contributing factors as to why males have low sperm count?

Stella - May 9th, 2010 12:33 PM

Maybe these men are smokers? Men who smoke typically have lower sperm count compared to men who dont smoke.

there are other factors aside from smoking. it can be because of age, stress and even impotence.

i think one of the causes of men to have low sperm count is that they are engaged in many bad health vices, such as smoking, taking
prohibited drugs and drinking alcoholic drinks.

I have known from a friend that one of the causes of having low sperm count is wearing a tight fitted jeans and underwear that heat the scrotum and testes.

Having frequent hot baths also can contribute to men low sperm counts.

Lowering of sperm count by temporarily overheating, resulted to frequently going to sauna bath or hot Jaccuzzi.

Age can be one of the contributing factor of having lower sperm count. For men under the age of 39, fertilization rates are usually over 60%. For men over 39, the fertilization falls slightly over 50%.

some reasons include bad sperm quality, low motility and lack of semen.

i have heard of smoking too and i read that quitting can do your numbers wonders. also less frequent ejaculation can help.
