Can bladder infection affect male reproductive system?

JohnDoe - September 8th, 2010 3:41 AM

im not really too sure. but if the infection spreads to the nearby sex organs then there is always a possibility.

Antonitte - September 9th, 2010 2:59 PM

There is a possibility, because the function of our human system may change in its usual ways if ever there is a disorder in our body. There are synchronizations of all our body parts.

If the bacteria affects the male reproductive organs then yeah there is always that possibility.

Helene_W - September 11th, 2010 2:49 AM

kimlee is quite right. bladder infection or even UTI can lead to fertility problems in the future, especially if left untreated.

There are bacteria present in infections which can travel upwards the urethra and cause problems. However, these are rare especially since most doctors prescribe antibacterial medidcation for things like this.

I've heard of cases of UTI going up and infecting other organs. I think its the same with bladder infection or other infections especially STD.

tom - October 13th, 2010 3:49 AM

any and different sorts of bacteria will always cause problems not just in the reproductive system, but in our bodies as well.

kellysmith - October 13th, 2010 4:13 AM

I think it can affect, because it's very near to the reproductive organ and if the infection is very serious..then it will surely affect the nearest part of the body.

If you dont treat these sorts of simple diseases early, then I suspect that they have the potential do do damage in the future.

Michael_ArchAngel - October 24th, 2010 2:43 AM

Ive never had a bladder infection or even a UTI, but I heard that peeing can be painful and in some instances, you can acutally pee some blood out!

techbro - October 27th, 2010 2:50 AM

bacteria can go up the other organs so it is very possible.

21Clarence - November 1st, 2010 3:53 AM

I think it can affect the reproductive system very much. Infection can go to nearby areas right? It is always a possibility. Besides, I think UTI is treated immediately to prevent it from affecting other organs. I remember a doctor or nurse mention this when my brother had a case of UTI.

lewisabigail16 - January 28th, 2011 3:00 PM

There is a possibility that it will. If a person has an infection, the infection will spread and the male reproductive organ is close to the bladder.
