Hi forums,

Are these related? I hear that biking will cause male infertiliy or is the number one cause. This is true? :O

I'm not expert, but I have definitely heard of stories of cyclists who have been diagnosed with testicular cancer due to excessive cycling. The cancer may or may not have been the only cause but it is one factor according to the articles I have read.

It has not been medically proven that too much cycling or biking will cause testicular cancer. There are those medical professionals who believe though that it will increase the odds of getting one for men who are active in that kind of lifestyle.

Always an ongoing debate whether biking will cause cancer. Many say there is no proven evidence that says so. Others state that it is one of the causes. Still some groups say it can damage the testicles but not cause cancer.

Whatever it is, make sure you research a lot about proper bicycle seats that will not cut or lessen the flow of blood to the crotch area. I'm sure there are bike seats available that are made especially for this case.
