the penis is composed of spongy tissues. When these tissues are filled with blood, the penis becomes erect. erection is important so that the transfer of sperm to the female reproductive tract is more efficient. so the male must take care of his penis so that when it erects it can instantly meet an egg, that fertilization occurs.

I agree. But it does not mean to say that since the penis is erect "t can instantly meet an egg, that fertilization occurs". There has to be ovulation first...

The male reproductive organs, as I may recall in my studies in Biology that the reproductive organs has two parts the external and the internal organs, the external parts are the scrotum and the penis. the penis is a muscles which hold blood that cause to become hard and erect.

this is necessary during sexual intercourse. there's a presence of mutual Pleasuring. however, i can't guarantee that erection causes fertilization occurs.

Without erection it will be hard to have intercourse but that is not really the cause on the sperm meeting and fertilizing the woman's egg. The man can be fully erect but his sperm is low in count or lacks motility to reach the eggs.

Then again, his semen may lack that necessary alkalinity to survive the acidic vaginal fluid. Remember, the sperm can survive inside the woman up to how many days.

Semen viscosity is also important to allow the sperm free motility afterwards. If the semen is too thick after being deposited inside the woman it will be a factor why the sperm can't reach the egg.
