Have any ladies here used Parlodel? it is for women with ovulation problems due to high levels of prolactin. Prolactin is a hormone that causes milk production.

No I was not put on parlodel. Was on Norprolac instead. but they are the same.

Generic name for that drug is Bromocriptine. It is used for several cases for treatment of menstrual disorders, acromegaly, including Parkinson's disease.

Bromocriptine is a dopamine agonist. What it does is block the release of prolactin from the pituitary gland. For those suffering from acromegaly, it lowers growth hormone levels as well. In Parkinson's disease, the drug works by stimulating dopamine receptors in certain areas of the brain.

Had high levels of prolactin too but apparently not high enough to be put on Parlodel. However I am considering this now.
