when i first heard about it i thought it is impossible to happen but there are a lot of cases that ovary transplant succeeded and produce healthy babies. at what point of the mother's situation is ovary transplant recommended as the best option to use?

I have read of it too and there those who succeeded while there are isolated cases too that did not. Anyway, this procedure is mostly recommended for women with ovarian disease like cancer. It is a better option that treating the cancer for it might just expand.

Really? I am just wondering. if that is the case then the genes of the female (original owner of the ovary) will be the child's genes? So it is like the mother who bears the child is a surrogate mother?

That would probably be the case, it's confusing on which of them can be called as the real mother, right?

you've blown my mind! an ovarian transplant. i guess it should not surprise me as lots of organs can be transplanted but i never guess that reproductive organs can also be transpanted!

I am sure that before the procedure is being recommended there will be a lot of things to consider. The patient should also be well informed of the possible effect and should consent on it.
