I don't think so, it is not yet proven that ivf treatments may lead to ovarian cancer, but if it can cause then why should I risk my life to this? |

Yes, there still no proof to that. Though it's very expensive many have done it and so far, nobody claimed to have get an ovarian cancer because of the treatment. |

its because of the repeated stimulation of the ovaries thats why there is a risk to it. however, it is still a personal choice. all treatments have risks and for ivf this is one of them. if you have a history of cancer i think you should opt out. |

its a risk you have to be aware of. if your family has a history then better seek other treatments. if you feel that the risk outweighs the benefits then it should be something that you can explore. |

I dont think I would let her go through with it. My wife's family has a history of breast cancer so for me, this is tempting fate too much. |

It's a calculated risk that we have to take. Life is full of risks and choices and you can't just discount a treatment just because it might cause cancer. So I am willing to go through IVF. |

We have no history of ovarian cancer however this should be something that is discussed between husband and wife. I believe that the more IVF treatments the higher the risks get. |
