2-3 months is usually the minimum. However in my case I had ivf which was a BFP but ended up in miscarriage a few days later so I decided to wait another 3 months.

I had to wait around 3-4 months in order to recover from the drugs. they can be very taxing to the system, not to mention the expense and the psychological impact of being told you got a BFN!

You decided to wait or did your doctor tell you to wait 3 months?

Besides, IVF is not exactly cheap. For ordinary people who earn their living slaving off 8 to 10 hours a day, it can be very expensive. Waiting a few more months and making sure this time it ends in positive results is a big deal when you spent thousands of dollars the first only to get a BFN.
