has anybody heard of this. this sounds like a good option to me. What do you think?

jennygirl - July 19th, 2010 1:07 PM

Yes, Ive read about this. Some women are loath to destroy their embryos so they put them up for adoption. They are implanted via IvF and then hopefully they will be successful.

no. if i cannot conceive using my eggs and my partner's sperm then i would rather adopt a live baby directly than an embryo. less risk and less expensive.

We have differed in our own opinion but it will be ended in the oneness of the studies of the scientist and scholars. two heads are better than one.Our concept that if a baby implanted by the experts in the womb of the mother, think about the situation before we jump to a conclusion of our own.

I agree with Marie in the sense that adopting a live baby or a small child would be more convenient (and probably cheaper?) compared to adopting/buying an embryo and then having it implanted in my wife. It's much more practical to adopt a baby or kid.

At least you get to experience what it is like to get pregnant and see the changes on your body. You get to nurture the baby right from the start and raise it!

Im not closed to it and im 50/50 on the whole thing. Its a hard decision but something worth thinking about.

cant you just adopt a baby? if you adopt embryo you still need to implant it and it is not always effective.

Jr. - October 25th, 2010 3:12 AM

Like SJ 23, I would rather adopt a baby than an embryo. So for me, its not a good option and it is likely to be expensive. Ive heard that embryos can cost up to $5k each.

hey BabeJohnson!

i forgot to tell you that if you adopt an embryo, please make sure that it is screened from possible genetic diseases.

An embryo of another woman is implanted into you, is this the correct concept I'm thinking about Embryo Adoption?

jonessamantha25 - January 29th, 2011 8:00 PM

I think I'd rather go for adopting a healthy baby than getting implanted with another embryo. it does sound very risky since you'd have to go through a lot to keep the embryo healthy and growing in you. and since it's somebody else's embryo, it won't be easy to find out whether or not the embryo's parents have a hereditary disease or something.
