do you think that the number of children with autism today is related to the number of people who undergo ART?

do you think fertility procedures can cause disabilities like autism, ADD, ADHD, Aspergers and others?

No. I don't believe that. Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) does not cause disabilities like the ones you mentioned. I'd rather believe excessive alcohol, smoking or taking illegal drugs while pregnant, will cause abnormalities to the child.

I agree with JosiePearson,

Disabilities are not caused by ART or other infertility treatment but i rather believe it is due to unhealthy lifestyle,drugs, and alcohol

there are cases wherein kids born through ART had disabilities like birth defects, some were born with low birth rates while others have health issues. I think it is a risk because things like this dont happen only to babies born through ART but through natural conception as well.

@ShyGirl

What you said does not make sense. lol! but I thnk I get your point. Whether thru ART or natural means, the risk of your child having a disability is always present.

I dont think it has anything to do with ARtificial reproduction. I believe that the parent's age has more to do with kids being born with this kind of disability than through reproductive techniques.
