Is it true that through Preimplantation Genetic Testing, couples can able to design the baby they want before they are born and help the couples to prevent the baby from being born if they don't like the genes?

If that's the case, I think that's what makes a new advance technology to mankind.

wow... it's like your playing God...

PGT involves carrying out tests on embryos created through vitro fertilization to detect certain conditions or abnormalities. This is very helpful to those partners to avoid having to make the difficult decisions whether to have an abortion if either of them is the carrier of a genetic condition.

"wow... it's like your playing God..."

It sure feels that way, but it is also practical. If you only have one chance to have a baby, i would want it to be healthy. Plus medicines and doctors are very expensive!

I would have PGT before I use a donated embryo.

Buying an embryo is really expensive so I want quality. It sounds harsh but it's practical.

Yes, practicality is the name of the game now a days..

getting pregnant the artificial way is expensive. so naturally you would want to protect that investment. having a sick child is not easy.

That's right! Why should a couple gamble on such a thing that's there still no assurance of it's success? And it's also very expensive..
