what are stress hormones and how can we reduce them to help with fertility?

Stress hormones are meant to help and to protect. But if it's constantly on the alert, our health also would pay the price. It's like fight or flight reaction. It's a natural alarm system in the body.

cortisol, GH and norepinephrine are hormones that are released during high levels of stress. as we know stress can make it hard to get pregnant. this is why relaxation techniques are employed by women and men who want to conceive.

so if you have high levels of cortisol, GH and norepinephrine, it means you are stressed.

do you have a gadget to measure these hormones?

The two primary stress hormones are cortisol and nor-epinephrine.

I found a home test kit for stress hormones that uses saliva. however it is not too reliable. it is still better to have your saliva sent to a lab.... :(

My suggestion for highly stressed people wanting to get pregnant is to take a vacation during ovulation. shut off all your phones and dont bring a laptop and just relax.

relaxation is important if you want to get pregnant. A friend of mine finally got pregnant after 10 years of trying. Although she is only 33, she has been married and trying for the last 10 years! Both she and her husband were given a clean bill of health.

She moved out of the city last year and then lived a simple life in a very small town. Since they were resigned to their fate of childlessnes, they took frequent vacation and now she's pregnant two months after they came home from Phuket! What good Luck!
