Before the 14th day, ovulation occurs. Ovulation is the process wherein a follicle bursts releasing egg due to a sudden increase in LH(luteinizing hormones). The burst follicle undergoes changes. It becomes a structure called the corpus luteum.

It's not always the 14th day. This is a good estimate if you have a 28 day cycle. But menstrual cycles can be anywhere from 21-35 days. To make sure you are ovulating, take an ovulation test or monitor the symptoms of ovulation.

This sounds easy enough but like candyKane said, not always true. Sadly, not all women ovulate during the 14th day.

Ovulation can be a pretty tricky thing especially after you hit 35. This is why helpful gadgets like ovulation strips come in handy because they tend to be a tad unpredictable.

this is an advantage if the woman has a normal cycle, if not the ovulation is unpredictable, and the tendency of this fertilization is not possible.

Not everybody ovulates during the 14th day. Even with a 28 day cycle does not mean that you release an egg on day 14.

Ovulation is when the egg is released from the ovary. This does not always happen on the 14th day although it is assumed by many. To make sure, take an ovulation test and time intercourse accordingly.

You know I never thought that i would become a member of a forum like this one. But after TTC for almost 10 years you pick up a lot of stuff.

Typically, it is on the 14th day but not always. For women factors like age, length of cycle, stress levels, hormonal issues and environment can alter ovulation.
