I have short menstrual cycle... very light and lasting a total of 4 days. Does this affect my fertility or ovulation period?

this can be tricky as the timing needs to be right and with a shorter cycle, the egg also lives a shorter lifespan before it is ready to be discarded. but having sex during ovulation will increase chances.

I must say that it has been a big factor for us. I usually get my menses every 23rd day so I am fertile during a shorter window than most. Coupled by my age, we are having a hard time getting pregnant.

Wow. You learn something new. I knew that some women had short cycles and light cycles but did not really know that it ca affect ovulation and fertility.

I think it can affect because I had a friend who has an abnormal menstrual cycle until now, she doesn't have a child or she don't even experience getting pregnant.

i dont think so. lots of women have short and light periods but have no problems getting pregnant. maybe you can try to chart your period so that you can get pregnant easier if this is your problem.

I have a short period too, but never thought it could be a problem. Maybe that's why its hard for me to know my ovulation period?
