While it's normal for blood pressure to rise slightly during pregnancy, blood pressure rates higher than normal can cause problems for both mother and baby.

I was scared when i found that i was pregnant and i have high blood pressure.. I get lots of special treatment and attention, which is nice.

OB doctors see this all the time so it is really nothing new to them but for us with it, it can be scary.

Methyldopa (AldometĀ®) is one of high blood pressure medication during pregnancy. Make sure to ask your doctor before starting a medication during pregnancy. Also make sure to ask your doctor before you stop taking a medication since untreated illnesses can have a harmful effect on your pregnancy.
