i used pregnancy test at home and there is a faint line. am i pregnant? what causes this to become faint?

it really depends on how you used it. If you test too soon, less than 8-10 of conception, hCG may not be at a sufficient level for a strong positive result and this may cause faint line. maybe your not pregnant, try more..

Using different tests detect hCG at different levels also, from 20MIU to 100MIU or more. So, low test sensitivity may can cause too.

dilution of urine specimen due to frequent urination or consumption of liquids. First morning urine is recommended for pregnancy testing as it contains the most concentrated presence of hCG.

chemical pregnancy is also another cause. It means implantation takes place and hCG is produced for a short time. However, this is followed by miscarriage before any other pregnancy symptoms are detected.
