Hello there! I am very worried about my situation. It's been a year and half since I got married and until now I haven't conceived yet. When I had a check up with my ob she ask me if I ever tried having a pregnancy test that is positive because I might have experienced chemical conception. how is that so?

from what i've heard about chemical pregnancy or conception, it is due to some medication taken that can cause your hcg level to go up, thus resulting to a positive PT.

Sometimes is an early miscarriage. It means that the egg was really fertilized but died just a few days after fertilization.

a chemical pregnancy often experienced by women who are taking fertility drugs. if a woman is very keen and take a pt as soon as a period is missed then she can be able to have a positive pt and just a few days before a gestation sac is developed the fertilized egg is miscarried.

i got confused here, tina says it is caused by the medication and dianne mentioned fertilized egg. So you mean that the egg was fertilized by the medication?

i think tina and dianne.grace are referring to two different scenarios here. just correct me if i'm wrong but that's how i understood it.

I think you are right supermom. They are talking of two possibilities. In my case I think it is because of the medications I am taking that increased my hcg level.

So in a chemical conception is there a baby or not? Is it a false positive coz you mentioned that it increased fsh levels.
