This is a dumb question but I'll ask anyway. What are the chances of me getting pregnant during my period. I know there are cases of women getting pregnant because of unprotected sex during their period.

That question has been asked by lots of women several times including myself. Don't feel dumb. It is a fairly sensible question.

YES, us women can still get pregnant if we have unprotected sex during that time of the month. The chances will go down some notches, but there is still that chance we'll get pregnant.

I concur. Some women ovulate as soon after menstruation. The sperm can survive inside the woman's body up to 5 days. What does this mean?

Let's say a couple did it during the woman's period, unknowingly, she ovulates 2 days after her last day of menstruation. BAM! Sperm is inside the woman and survives til after menstruation. The sperm could find it to the eggs and fertilize. You know what happens next.
