hey I'm quite a coffee addict and i've been warned to stop drinking coffee while i'm pregnant I'm on my 4th month now. what are really the effects on it?

caff is a stimulant and a diuretic so you better cut back now. It can cause birth defects, preterm delivery, reduced fertility and reduced birth weight.

There is no real consensus on the real effects of caffeine on pregnant women. This issue has been debated over and over for several years without a real and certain scientific outcome.

Studies do show that those who drink coffee or lots of caffeine intake daily increase their risk of a miscarriage twice or more compare to moms-to-be who don't drink caffeinated beverages.

Caffeine also constricts the blood vessels which reduces blood flow. It is suggested that this is bad for the baby.

If there's smoke, there's fire.

JUst to be safe stay away from coffee. I think it is a small sacrifice to make if you want to have a child.
