if you have been taking birth control pills say for more than a year and you stopped to get pregnant, then it took awhile to conceive. is it possibly because of the prolonged use of the bc pills?

It is possible because sometimes our fertility is affected with the pills. Our system is like getting back to its normal state of conceiving so it will take sometime.

Yes it is true --y--. I think that will just be fine with me to have a little time to set things back to the normal state because if you conceive right away it might have some abnormal effects on the baby.

no, the bc pills may have different effects on each of us but it is not the cause for delayed conception. i've been taking bc pills and when i stopped in order to get pregnant, i conceived the month after.

Good for you littleme. I am just wondering if sudden stop of taking bc pills and conceiving right away will have no abnormal effect on the baby?

there's nothing inside the pills that isnt already present in the human body. it should be fine. just give it a while.

I think it can't affect the baby because doctor's prescribe it and once you stop taking it then there is a chance that you get pregnant and it is just fine.
