if these two methods were compared, which would you think is the more succesful one? taking the basal body temp of a woman to aid in conception or using the calendar method?

I've tried both and BBT is quite harder than calendar since you need a thermometer for that one. Calendar is easier and more convenient to use.

For me, i think the most successful one is the calendar method. A lot of couples who want to have a baby have been using this method and most of them confirmed that it's very effective.

We've only tried the calendar but I heard that BBT is also quite reliable. And yes I believe there are strips that you can purchase to check for temp.

I like BBT better because it tells you right away that you are ovulating. With calendar it's just an approximation.

Well, for me, I think that the two method are both very effective to make conception become more successful.

The calendar method predicts ovulation by just looking at a woman's menstrual history and I think it is more effective than BBT.
