Hello forums,

Good to be here.

I have a history of longer periods but at irregular intervals. I think I have a case of Menorrhagia because I'm having more than 7 days. Though it is not heavy most times, the prolonged period is definitely consistent in so much as I've had it. Afraid to go to the doctor because of what I might find out that I won't like.

Getting afraid this will affect my becoming a mom. Still 24, but my BF and I are planning to get married soon.

Only want to share guys. Thoughts appreciated.
Thank you.

Taylor

You have good reason to be afraid. Excessive bleeding could mean hormonal imbalance, blood clotting, uterine fibroids, or ovarian dysfunction to name a few. All these are linked to women having a hard time to conceive. It does not mean you will not become pregnant anymore. So don't dread seeing a doctor for fear of hearing what you don't want to. I encourage you to get professional help this early on. You are still young with many years to come to have a baby with your guy.

Good luck Taylor. See a doctor. ;)
