Not all infertility treatments.
* bout 10% of women who undergo IVE gets OHSS
* women who take fertility treaments orally rarely have OHSS
* those given hCG injections to stimulate ovulation are at risk

OHSS is rarely threatening, but when it does it is because it gets complications. Among a few are:
* the kidney starts to fail
* fluid build-up in the abdomen or chest becomes too severe
* blood clotting
* too much electrolyte imbalance

Thank you AnnaabeeB. There are too many acronyms, abbreviations and shorthands in this forums taking it all in is overwhelming for those who are new. I am not that new but still learning. Still confused at times.

Off Topic --- Maybe we should have a list of common used terms, like a glossary or something. That would really help everyone who visit this website. What do you think?
