can a guy who had a vasectomy & then a reversal have kids without any problems?

BigPapa - July 18th, 2010 4:40 PM

what do you mean? if the reversal went without a hitch then he should be able to have kids in the future. except of course if there are blockages.

yes, as far as i know. successful reversals are quite common. maybe there are other problems like BigPapa mentioned.

even if you had the reversal, it may take anywhere from 2 months to a year for sperm to return to the ejaculate. so you might have problems TTC during the first year of reversal.

i never knew that it would take that long for sperm to return. i thought that during a vasectomy the tube was tied off i thought that as soon as their are untied, sperm would join the semenal fluids again. this is food for thought.

this is an eye opener. I once considered this operation when I was single. Now Im glad that I did not. it would have complicated our fertility problems even more!
