I hear that thyroid problem can cause male infertility. How so?

Thyroid problems are usually mean that there is hormonal imbalance. So this could be a problem in guys and not just the women.

Thyrod problems affect both men and women.

A low thyroid hormone level is one cause of poor semen quality, poor testicular function and can disturb a man's libido.

In women, low thyroid production cause high levels of prolactin. That is bad because high prolactin causes you not to ovulate. No ovulation means no pregnancy.

thyroid is responsible for producing sex hormones. so naturally if there is abnormality in the production the males would find it hard to impregnate women.

men with diabetes also tend to have hormone problems. this is because insulin is a hormone and diabetics have problem producing the right amount of hormones.
