I think this is when the own body recognizes sperm or egg as a foreign object and attacks it. it is an autoimmune response. Not so sure how it is cured though. |

Really? I don't understand how will be able to have sperm allergy. I guess, like skin allergy, you will get it through eating a wrong food? Hmmn.. |

Not wrong food. You are born with it. it is an automimmune disease wherein your body sees the egg or sperm or embryo as hostile and attacks it! |

Is there really such a thing like sperm allergy? May I know what are the symptoms? |
|

It's having an allergic reaction to semen and it may occur to both men and women. But some specialists don't consider sperm allergies as one of the main cause for infertility. But women who has this, claimed that they are having a hard time in getting pregnant. |

This has something to do with antibodies. Your antibodies recognize the allergen in this case sperm and then attack it. |

there are cases of sperm allergy where skin itches when coming into contact with sperm. Some even have difficulty breathing. Women who are allergic to their partner's sperm can get pregnant either by IUI or IVF. |

I agree with sk8. but i think th chances of success are still small. |

It is a kind of antibodies that can kill your own sperm, which is more often after the given vasectomy. Sperm allergy is also known to be the cause of male infertility. It can be cure through taking infertility drugscombined with IUI. |

I read that frequent sex can help with this kind of allergy. As the woman's body gets used to the sperm, it is getting trained to recognize the sperm as friend rather than enemy. |
