Hey!

I wanna know if the guys hear have taken a immunobead test? What is it for?

Hermes - October 26th, 2010 3:19 AM

this one tests for antisperm antibodies. some women are allergic to sperm. their body sees sperm as a foreign body and attacks it. its is hard for women who are allergic to sperm to get pregnant.

I have no idea what is this..but I'm willing to take this test if it gives good result.

Orion_99 - October 27th, 2010 3:43 AM

you can make the body get accustomed to antisperm antibodies by having frequent sex. this will train the body to recognize sperm not as the enemy but as a friend.

IBT screens for antisperm anitbodies. We had this test and my partner is allergic to sperm making it hard for us to get pregnant.

ANNE - October 29th, 2010 3:16 AM

so its the women who takes this test?

zzerrgzz - October 31st, 2010 1:23 AM

oh yes. I have heard of antisperm antibodies. Thanks. Now i know what the test is for.

To ANNE:

I think that its the women who have this test.

xXxNANxXx - October 31st, 2010 2:25 PM

this is one of the most common reasons for infertility. somehow the woman's body see sperm as foreign object and do everything to destroy it.

Dionne&Dylan - October 31st, 2010 4:51 PM

I heard that this can be treated with frequent sex?

Apparently a woman's body gets used to the foreign substance...

EarthyGal - November 1st, 2010 3:41 AM

IBT was one of the few tests we had to undertake early on. We got OK results.

jackie.mist - February 1st, 2011 2:47 PM

An IBT can detect different kinds of antisperm antibodies in several biological samples, including blood, cervical mucous and sperm. The test can indicate the class and the severity of the antibodies and what part of the sperm is affected. In a blood sample, an IBT test can reveal whether the antibodies originate from contact with blood or around the reproductive organs.
