how do you get rid of a varicocele?

:Danica - September 19th, 2010 5:36 PM

through surgery. this is just like varicose veins in our legs. it needs surgery to be corrected.

Sarah - September 19th, 2010 10:40 PM

Yes, but surgery is very much expensive and not all would like the idea of doing it. Well, I think if it's not yet worst..you can get rid of it by avoid long hours of standing and have your legs some massage it needs.

Well, in some cases, instead of a surgery, doctors can pass a plastic tube into the veins that causes the varicocele and treats the problem by causing a blockage in a blood flow to the enlarged veins.

I think you can ask some information about it from the experts. They can give you the best information that you surely needs.

Varicocele is one of the most common infertility problems in men. It is usually treated through surgery. It is an outpatient procedure that is done under local anesthetic.

There is also varicocle Embolization. this is done by a tube inserted to the affected area and then a coil or an emblolizing material is inserted in order to relive the blockage.

To Kit:

This sounds like a better option compared to the surgery. So when the coil is inserted it makes it easier for the sperm to pass through the veins, right?

the embolization sounds high tech. but at least its not surgery!

a varicocele forms when the valve that controls the flow of blood to the veins gets damaged. if so, then why not just fix the valve?

dana_baby - February 8th, 2011 3:35 PM

what is varicocele..?

lisal33 - February 8th, 2011 3:55 PM

varicocele, which is also a swelling of the veins. this varicocele happens just to guys, and you probably won’t sit around and talk about it with your pals. That’s because it occurs not in the legs but in a place a bit more private and a lot more tender — the scrotum.

michjane - February 8th, 2011 4:10 PM

In all guys, there’s a structure that contains arteries, veins, nerves, and tubes — called the spermatic cord — that provides a connection and circulates blood to and from the testicles. Veins carry the blood flowing from the body back toward the heart, and a bunch of valves in the veins keep the blood flowing one way and stop it from flowing backward. In other words, the valves regulate your blood flow and make sure everything is flowing in the right direction.

But sometimes these valves can fail. When this happens, some of the blood can flow in reverse. This backed-up blood can collect in pools in the veins, which then causes the veins to stretch and get bigger, or become swollen. This is called a varicocele (pronounced: var-uh-ko-seel).

really!!! so this is for guys! so what stage this will occur in man's life? i mean can you specify as to what age will this likely to happen? i'm so curios...
