Of men diagnosed with male infertility, 10% to 15% will have azoospermia (a complete lack of sperm). Azoospermia is present in about 1% of the general population.

~ ive never heard of this before but found it on the web!

Really? This is also new to me..Thanks for the new insights! Try to look for this on the web too.

azoospermia, simply no sperm!

its hard to believe that some men dont have sperm at all. i guess this is where the term "shooting blanks" is appropriate?

connie_m - June 5th, 2010 3:53 PM

I read that this can be cured with herbal therapy. the patient is prescribed VIT C as well as Zinc Met 3x,or 6x or Selenium 30 x twice a day for a long time. Results are said to be 7/10 cases!

The name AZOOSPERMIA sounds so alien! Is there a remedy for this?

Thea - June 21st, 2010 12:01 PM

If there are no sperm at all in the semen sample, that's azoopspermia. But there is still hope I guess to this kind of condition, all you need to do is to consult the specialist in order for you to know what are the proper things to do to solve this kind of infertility problem.

"The name AZOOSPERMIA sounds so alien!"

LOLZ... Stella... I know it does sound alien and scary. I can imagine the doctor telling me i have azoospermia... like a fatal alien disease!

To Stella and Donna

Why cant they name it a less scary name? My brother was diagnosed with this after 10 years of being childless. He never thought he was 'shooting blanks' because the amount of ejaculation was normal. It was only after a lab test that it was confirmed.

Asterf - July 7th, 2010 2:41 PM

I did not know this before, but does it have a medication for this?

Jerroles - July 8th, 2010 2:07 PM

The medications of this may not yet found but or has found already but does not guarantee that it really works for the better. Only God knows!
