I UNDERWENT CHEMO AND MY DOCTOR MENTIONED THAT SOMEHOW IT MAY AFFECT FERTILITY TEMPORARILY. ANYONE WHO EXPERIENCED THE SAME? PLEASE SHARE IT HERE.

sometimes it will depend on the kind of drug you use. as your doctor mentioned it will only be temporary if ever it will affect fertility so no need to be alarmed.

MY DOCTOR MENTIONED ABOUT MTX OR METHOTREXATE. IT IS THE DRUG THAT MAY AFFECT FERTILITY, HOW BAD IT MAY CAUSE?

sorry, im not male so i dunno how to answer you. however if your doctor says its temporary then it should be. btw, why did you have to do chemo?

Yeah most drugs used in chemo can affect fertility that is why there are some options offered now that may be used before doing the chemo like sperm banking for men and egg freezing for single women and embryo freezing for married women.

never went through chemo but it does have serious effects not only in your immune system but also your reproductive. it should be something discussed before your treatment.

Never went through chemo but lots of people who do have their eggs or sperm frozen for future fertility.

I didnt go through Chemo either but shouldn't your doctor have discussed with you the possible side effects the medicine will have in your body?

Some chemo patients are given the option of having their sperm or eggs frozen because majority of the cases will have effects on the reproductive organs of both males and females.
