A study has found that males who father kids after 40 have high chances of kids having ADD.

just a heads up.

its not only the ladies who experience a decrease in quality in their sex cells. sperm quality can also decrease with age because testosterone production also decreases with age.

I agree. With declining sperm and egg quality I think couples in their 40's are at risk for having kids with this kinds of illnesses.

this is mother nature's way of ensuring that we evolve to be the best.

ADD is becoming common and I think this is not only because of age but because of the parent's diet as well.

This must be the reason why my friend has a 14 year old child with severe ADD. The guy was 42 when they were together and she was 25.

Not all males at this age father kids with ADD. But the risk is incrased.

Scotts_Pilgrims - November 2nd, 2010 3:10 AM

Not to sound ignorant but is the ADD mentioned here the same as Attention Deficit Disorder?

JosiePearson - January 29th, 2011 4:15 PM

to Scott: I think so. I think it's not just ADD, I think kids can have other deficienceies when the sperm and egg quality is decreased.
