Why do fertility treatments cost so much money??? its like we accept it and we dont know the reason why!

I think they are expensive because of the equipment used for the procedure. For example in IVF sperm and egg cells have to undergo certain processes before it is implanted to the womb. Plus you are paying for experts.

but when you think about it, how many women go through fertility treatment. How many cycles do they pay for? isnt it enough for them to lower the cost.

I guess its hard to go up against this sort of business as the equipment is expensive. It would be better if they had lots of competition so that prices would go down.

dont forget that fertility experts are very expensive too. not only do you pay for their time you also pay for their staff, materials and equipment cost. but I agree, if there were more fertility experts, the price would go down!

I think I am fine with the high costs for as long as it is worth it. It is accurate and effective.

I think that's part of the problem Simon----28.

Its expensive but not 100% effective or guaranteed. Heck, most of it is not even 50% effective. I think this is what frustrates and irks people the most, high cost but low success rate.

I think it's because of the many processes done by the treatment. Most of the treatment is very effective that's why high cost of money spent is only worth it.
