how many embryos will you have implanted for a second round of IVF?

We have a limited number of embryos and my doctor said one is as good as two or three. I am thinking of saving the rest for future IVF treatments.

What do you think?

I agree with your doctor. Anything more than four is dangerous on the part of the embryos and on the part of the mom. Two should be OK. Remember that all the embryos could implant and you can have multiple kids in one go! And while that is all good, raising kids can be very expensive! And it would be irrisponsible to bring them to this world without our full financial support.

My first cycle I had four embryos transfered and zero implant. Second cycle I had 2 still zero. I am taking a short break before I go for my next cycle where I am going to try for 4 again.

How many embryos do you have? do you have more money for more IVF cycles?

There are lots of things to consider how many eggs to implant! Remember that the more eggs you have does not mean that they will all become babies and the more that become babies, the increase the risk it is to the mother and babies!

We are currently looking into IVF but I cant imagine having more than 1 child right away. Aside from the cost of ivf and I have to consider my financial obligation to my wife and future child. There's just no way I can have more than 1 kid now. I cant afford it.

So perhaps two would be safe enough per cycle.

I understand your concern kit. sometimes we just want a child and overlook the costs and financial burden of having one or just getting pregnant.

I personally would want to implant as many embryos as possible. Perhaps four at a time. This would incrase the chances for me, compared to just having two implanted.

4 should be the max for me. Even though they wont implant, its going to be hard to take care of 4 babies simultaneously and so you need to be prepared for that risk.

We were advised two to four every round. I have limited number of eggs so I think this number is viable.
