this phrase is something that most of us, especially those suffering from serious illness, believe or want to believe. in reality, there are really infertility problems that are not curable. we go to our doctor with the expectation that we can be treated and the doctor is pressured to make a prescription even if he is not sure that it can treat us. so we have to accept the fact that not all illness has its pill to cure it. any comments on this?

i don't think this can help or inspire us gerome. you are discouraging people from the hope that there is a chance for us to conceive or solve our infertility problems.

i know there are really fertility illness that are not curable but having to say that we should have no hope is unacceptable. we should at least try another option.

I THINK WHAT GEROME IS TRYING TO SAY IS WE SHOULD HAVE FALSE HOPES. FOR THE DOCTORS, THEY SHOULD TELL US HONESTLY OR FRANKLY IF THERE IS NOTHING MORE WE CAN DO THAN TRYING TO FIX IT WITHOUT ANY KIND OF ASSURANCE THAT IT CAN BE CURED.

that is right sting. but i also accept all your negative reactions about this post. i just wanted to open your eyes to the reality.

well opening our eyes to reality is fine but there are those that are sensitive and may not understand what you mean. this is a serious and sensitive issue.

agree. genetic issues for infertility are usually untreatable with medication or surgery. simply put, the person is just not "programmed" to become a parent.

I think it is not good that we must tell the one who are dying to have a baby of their own, "to stop hoping in acquiring a biological baby for you are a barren woman." It is a way of add insult to the injury. How cruel you are!.

In my own thinking, if I were the doctor, I would honestly tell the patient not to expect so much in the medical technology but to the Will of our Heavenly Father, with this explanation the couple may not so much get hurt. And in this way they could not spend so much money.
