What is tubal pregnancy? Is this the same as ectopic pregnancy?

Dianne - October 3rd, 2010 10:47 AM

Yes, tubal pregnancy is also known as ectopic pregnancy. It occurs when a fetus begins to grow outside the uterus.

A tubal pregnancy cannot be carried to term, and if not treated, can be dangerous to pregnant woman and also to the fetus inside her.

Yap, they're just the same. Actually, tubal pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilized eggs attaches itself outside the cavity of the uterus.

They are just really the same..no difference at all.

this is when the embryo develops in the fallopian tube instead of in the womb. Pregnancies like these are terminated.

As far as I know yes. Ectopic pregnancy happens in the fallopian tubes instead of the womb.
