Sex is a workout you won't want to quit. Unlike aerobics or other exercises which don't yield positive results at all for some, sex is guaranteed to shed off those unwanted pounds.

While it is a guaranteed effective way of losing weight, it's the prerequisite to this exercise which could pose a problem. The saying "It takes two to tango" literally applies here.

Hello, I think i have to agree. My husband and I have sex almost every night. We love it and we always get the satisfaction we need. Much more when we observed that we didn't get overweight even if we don't do some exercises and we also don't practice some dieting.

A total of 3.5 calories per minute be burned if you and have sex. this means for a 30 minute session you would burn 105 calories ! and this is already with foreplay.

so in terms of the calories burned, sex is not really that effective. especially if you compare it to running (10.5 calories per minute or cross country skiing 13.1 or even walking 4.5)

IMO, its not really that efficient. i would rather have sex on the days that matter.

3,5 calories only? Oh wow... that's sad... but sex is fun nonetheless! and sweaty too.

Although I believe that sex is a workout, i think having sex all times of the day is not as effective as jogging or doing aerobic workouts. so sorry I think this is something for the mythbusters.

Take note that it will probably take more than three days to shed off significant inches. You can get vital results, if your metabolism is quick and you have regular trips to the gym in addition to your sexercise routine.

myth... you will have to have sex CONTINUOUSLY if you want to make this into a "sexercise".

your sex act is considered a cardiovascular work-out, you have to experience an increase in your heart rate from 140 to 180 beats per minute for at least twenty minutes.

Yes, sex is a workout but not the most effective one there is. In order to lose sufficient weight, you would need to be doing the horizontal tango for hours and hours. As for the heart beat, jogging, aerobics and even just a simple brisk walk can elevate heart rate for a good cardio work out.

Sex is fun but not the greatest exercise to lose weight. If it were, the whole world would be fit as a fiddle! LOL!
