Progesterone stimulates the additional building up of the uterus while further contributing to the action of the estrogen. But to that case, I"m not so sure whether there are side effects on that. I advice you to consult a doctor about this matter, so no regrets may come out to the scene.

In my own opinion, I am with Ainha too, it is better to visit to the obstetrician to be sure whether it is good or not. As the studied shows a decreases in estrogen and progesterone concentration in the blood follows.

If your RE suggested it, then it might be a good idea. Low progesterone levels can lead to misscarriages. In fact, this is the leading cause of unintentional abortion in couples who are TTC.

With most hormones, there are side effects like acne, hirsutism and even baldness. your doctor should be able to elaborate on the side effects of hormones on the body.

Yes there are side effects and it depends from person to person but they are minimal and worth the risk if you are able to carry full term.

Progesterone supplements is usually given to compliment a fertility treatment. Example, it is given a few days after egg retrival to give the embryo more chances of implanting.

Side effects are mood swings, headahces... you know the normal PMS... :D
