the cause is normally because of genetic abnormalities. this only covers about 10% of the women experiencing POF and the rest of the cause is still unknown. |

There are also some environmental factors that may cause POF but as --y-- said most of the cause is idiopathic or unknown. |

how will we know that we are having such problem? except maybe because we are not menstruating anymore, other symptoms for this? |
|

Ok, and is there any way we will be able to know that we have POF earlier so as to help it or treat it? |

i think the best way is to have a check-up and there are some symptoms that goes with it that may be enough to make you suspicious that you might have some problem. |

can cramping be a symptom of POF? |
|
||
some symptoms includes hot flashes, vaginal dryness, decrease in sexual drive and night sweats. i don't think cramping is a symptom of POF. |

Perhaps abnormal FSH levels. When FSH levels are high, this means there is ovulation. But if it is always low, then the body is tricked into early menopause. |
